Watercolour Shrine #2

Projected another acetate of one of my graphics pieces from Monument to Home, and used a combination of watercolour and gouache to create a looser, more layered approach again. I liked the process and its a much more physical and liberating way to paint but I’m not too happy with these watercolour pieces; I think the idea of awe and wonder at nature is a bit lost.

I did, however, get really fascinated at how the drips were behaving. Some drips retraced other drips trails and left their trail within the other. Some got caught on the paper and dried, some got caught on the paper and glanced away, leaving a diagonal line. It was awesome to see an accidental colour scheme developing whilst I was painting.
