“Winter Forest Under An Electric Sky” – Impasto Acrylic Painting

Final day on this project, and my last addition to the project named “Sense of Place”. I didn’t think the watercolour technique really added anything to it yesterday so I tried to find a midpoint between the fine oil work, and the expressive, liberal watercolour. I think I found it!

I always tend to create a better piece of work when I enjoy the technique, as does anyone. I haven’t really done impasto stuff before, and certainly not with a palette knife! I loved the colour combination in the original graphic image because of the “electricity” of it, hence the name, and I’m much, much happier with the result today. Impasto acrylic with palette knife.
